Guest lecture at Dartmouth

I’ll be presenting some of my research as part of a guest lecture series in the undergraduate psycholinguistics class taught by Dr. Samantha Wray on Feb 24. I’ll be discussing language acquisition, bilingualism, and neurolinguistics and covering topics ranging from how babies learn the sounds of their languages to how adult bilinguals manage the sound systems of their two languages.

Presenting virtually at SNL 2020

I will be presenting a poster for a project titled “Do bilinguals better discriminate novel vowel contrasts? Neural correlates of perceptual assimilation using MEG decoding” with Laura Gwilliams, Esti Blanco-Elorrieta, and Alec Marantz.

This project has been brewing for some time and then data acquisition was interrupted due to the COVID-19 pandemic so we’re working with what we have and we’re excited to present it as part of the Sandbox at SNL 2020. I’m presenting during Poster Session H on Saturday, October 24th. Stop by and chat about speech perception and the brain!
